- Where can I get the key?

You can obtain the key from our reception at Ferienpark Scharmützelsee, Strandstraße 10 in 15864 Wendisch-Rietz.
- When can I arrive and depart?
-
Check-in is possible from 3 p.m. If your house is not already occupied, earlier check-in is possible by prior arrangement. Check-out is by 10 a.m. at the latest. Upon arrival, arrange a handover appointment (subject to availability) with the housekeeper. This is followed by settlement of the bill and key handover at reception.
- What if I arrive after 5 p.m.?

If you plan to arrive outside of our reception opening hours, please contact us in advance. We will then provide you with all the information you need regarding late arrivals.
- Is it possible to depart after 10 a.m.?

Depending on availability and prior arrangement, you are welcome to depart later for an additional charge.
- Can I extend my existing booking?
-
It is possible to extend your stay at any time, provided that the house is available. Our staff at the reception desk will be happy to answer any further questions you may have.
- Are pets allowed?

Pets are permitted in most houses; please indicate your pet when making a binding booking. Incidentally, there is also a separate dog beach.
- Does our house have Wi-Fi?

Some of our houses are equipped with Wi-Fi. You will find the passwords in the respective guest folders.
- Are bed linen and towels included?
-
Bed linen and towels are not included in the price of your holiday. However, you are welcome to bring your own bed linen, towels and tea towels, or you can conveniently book them with us in advance. They will then be waiting for you in your accommodation when you arrive. Please book tea towels separately, as they are not included in the linen package.
- Are the beds made upon arrival?

We will provide the bed linen you have booked upon your arrival. Please make the beds yourself. In the off-season, you have the option of booking the “Time Out Package”, which includes bed-making service.
- What options are available for guests with allergies (e.g. pet-free houses, special bedding)?

You are also welcome to enquire about pet-free houses and allergy-friendly bedding. Please feel free to contact us.
- What is available in the house upon arrival?

Upon arrival, you will find a starter kit in the house, which includes a dishcloth, 1 dishwashing sponge, 2 dishwasher tablets, 1 small bottle of Fit, 1 filter bag, and 1 pack of matches. There is also 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Please bring a tea towel from home or hire one from us for a fee. Please provide your own for the rest of your stay.
- When is the rent due?

The payment terms and our bank details can be found in your booking confirmation. A deposit of 20% of the travel price is payable within 14 days of booking. The remaining amount must be paid 14 days before arrival. Otherwise, there is no entitlement according to the terms and conditions.
- How is my holiday accommodation heated?

Our holiday homes and apartments have electric or gas heating, depending on the type of property. In some properties, heating is charged according to consumption. In many properties, additional costs are already included. We will be happy to advise you on this.
During the colder months, we recommend using the wood-burning stove as well. Many properties are equipped with a fireplace.
- Are the accommodations accessible?

Our houses are not barrier-free. Some of the accommodations have a walk-in shower, no stairs or even ground-level access. Please feel free to contact us.
- What types of houses (e.g. size, amenities, number of bedrooms) are available exactly?

Our holiday park offers houses and apartments for 2-12+2 people. You are welcome to use the filter function on our website to find your favourite, or contact us personally by email or telephone.
- Is there a spa tax to pay?

As state-approved health resorts, the municipalities of Bad Saarow and Wendisch Rietz charge a spa tax. This must be paid upon arrival.
- Can I pay on site with a debit or credit card?
-
According to the terms and conditions, the rental price must be paid by bank transfer before arrival. You will find the payment details in your booking confirmation. For very last-minute bookings and/or additional services, you can also pay on site in cash or by card.
- How can I cancel my booking and what costs will I incur?

Please send us your cancellation in writing. The costs of cancellation are calculated based on the date prior to the booked start of the trip. The tenant is entitled to terminate the contract at any time. If the tenant terminates (cancels) the contract without Ferienpark Scharmützelsee Betriebs-GmbH having given an important reason for this, Ferienpark Scharmützelsee Betriebs-GmbH is entitled to compensation as follows:
- Free of charge within 14 days of receiving the booking confirmation
- Thereafter, a processing fee of EUR 25.00
- 45 to 31 days before arrival: 10% of the rental price
- 30 to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the rental price
- 14 to 10 days before arrival: 80% of the rental price
- 9 to 1 days before arrival: 100% of the rental price

- What additional services can I book?

Our aim is to give you a wonderful break. Just tell us what you want and we will do our best to make it happen. Whether you need a travel cot, a high chair, extra beds, firewood, sauna fragrance, tea towels, bed linen or a barbecue – you can get all of this for a small fee. Would you like to take a leisurely ride around the beautiful Scharmützelsee lake? Then you can also hire bicycles and e-bikes from us.
- Can I book breakfast with you, or is there a bread roll service?

In Wendisch Rietz, we offer a bread roll service in Fischland and in the holiday park. There are also two bakeries in Wendisch Rietz. For larger groups, we offer a breakfast service at Scharmuntzelland in Wendisch Rietz.
- Are there restaurants and catering facilities in and around the holiday park?

You will find restaurants in Wendisch Rietz, Bad Saarow, Storkow, Beeskow, Fürstenwalde and the surrounding area. Please take a look at our homepage under the heading “Leisure activities”. Several restaurants are within walking distance in Wendisch Rietz. We recommend that you make a reservation.
- Where can I park?

One parking space is available at your accommodation. Some holiday homes also have two parking spaces. We will be happy to advise you. If you are arriving with several cars, there is a car park directly opposite the reception.
- What facilities does my holiday accommodation have?

The holiday homes in each category have a standard level of quality. The standard varies depending on the category and can be found on our website. You will also find sample images of various homes in each category. Each holiday home is individually furnished and equipped differently. When searching for your holiday home, you can select various filters, e.g. 2nd WC, 2nd bathroom, washing machine, fireplace, sauna, whirlpool, utilities included, etc. We are also happy to advise you personally, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels, firewood, travel cot and high chair are not included in the prices of our holiday homes. You are welcome to book these at an additional cost or bring your own.
Upon arrival, you will find a starter set in the kitchen with a cloth, a small bottle of washing-up liquid, a small pack of dishwasher tablets and matches. All other consumables, such as bin bags, cleaning products and toilet paper, are not provided in the property and must be brought with you.
- Are there travel cots and high chairs available in the house?

You are welcome to book a travel cot and a high chair for a one-off rental fee per stay.
- How is the kitchen in my holiday accommodation equipped?
-
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, filter coffee machine, fully automatic coffee machine (depending on the house), dishwasher, toaster, refrigerator with freezer compartment, various crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. You will need to bring your own washing-up liquid, spices, sugar, etc. You can hire a tea towel or simply bring your own.
- Is there a washing machine available?

Most houses have a washing machine in the utility room, bathroom or kitchen. Please specify this when making a firm booking.
- Do I have to pay a deposit and how do I get it back?
-
We kindly ask you to treat the inventory with care during your stay. You will find an inventory folder in the house, which we recommend you check. Please report any defects in the house upon arrival within 24 hours. This is the only way we can identify defects and damage and remedy them as quickly as possible. You are obliged to report any damage caused by you during the rental period and to replace it if necessary.
The deposit, currently €100.00, is transferred with the rental price. The deposit will only be refunded on the day of departure after inspection by the housekeeper and after any damage and consumption costs, such as electricity, water and gas, have been settled. If the housekeeper does not approve the property, the deposit will be retained and also transferred to you after any damages and consumption costs have been settled. If the accommodation is very dirty or damage to furniture, appliances, crockery, etc. is found, additional cleaning or the damage incurred will be charged.
- How exactly does the deposit payment and refund work?

A deposit of €100 must be paid upon arrival. This will be refunded in cash at check-out at reception, after any costs incurred have been settled, or via bank transfer if check-out at reception is not possible.
- How is the final cleaning charged and is it included in the price?

After departure, the holiday home will be cleaned by the cleaning staff; guests must leave the house in a clean and tidy condition. Final cleaning is usually included in the rental price. Additional cleaning during your stay can be booked at reception for a fee.
- What are the reception opening hours?

During peak season, reception is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
During low season, reception is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
You can reach us by telephone on 033679-6060. If you plan to arrive after opening hours, please let us know at least half an hour before closing time. We will be happy to make arrangements for your late arrival so that you can arrive at your leisure and without any time pressure.
- Are there quiet hours at the holiday park?

We are a family-friendly holiday park. We kindly ask you to observe the afternoon quiet hours and also the night-time quiet hours from 10 p.m. Please be considerate of our younger guests and keep the noise down when sitting together.
- Is there a dog beach?

In Wendisch Rietz, you will find a fenced-off area on the beach; this is the dog beach.
- Is there a boat hire service for canoes, SUPs, etc.?

There are boat hire companies in Bad Saarow and Wendisch Rietz. You can find the opening hours of these companies on our website under “Leisure Activities”.

- Are there childcare or entertainment facilities at the holiday park?

There are various excursion options, e.g. Scharmuntzelland in Wendisch Rietz. You can find more on our homepage under “Leisure activities”. Let yourself be inspired. During the holiday seasons, we also offer a children’s entertainment programme. You can also visit the visitor centre in the town centre. Our colleagues will be happy to advise you.

- Is there a bicycle hire service?

There is a bicycle rental service at the Wendisch Rietz holiday park and also in Bad Saarow. This is usually closed from November to March, depending on weather conditions.
- Can we reserve bicycles with you?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. Please contact us for group bookings.
- I have booked a house in Bad Saarow. Where can I get the keys?

If you have booked a holiday home in Bad Saarow through us, check-in will also take place at Strandstr. 10 in Wendisch Rietz. We will give you the keys, spa cards and, if required, linen, briefly discuss your departure and show you the way to your accommodation so that you can start your holiday relaxed.
- What shopping facilities are there?

In Wendisch Rietz, you will find an Edeka supermarket and two bakeries (opening hours vary). Further supermarkets can be found in Storkow, Bad Saarow and the surrounding area. You will also find a guest folder with various information in the house.
- Is there medical care available on site?

There are various doctors in Storkow, Bad Saarow and the surrounding area. There is also a hospital with an emergency department in Bad Saarow. In an emergency, call 112 or the medical on-call service on 116 117.
- Is there any guest information available in the building?

In the house, you will also find a guest folder with various information and an inventory folder. Under the question about the deposit, you will find information on checking the inventory.
- Where is the nearest petrol station?

You will find petrol stations in Storkow and Fürstenwalde.
- Where can I find a cash machine?

You will find cash machines in Storkow, Bad Saarow and Fürstenwalde. In addition, some supermarkets offer the option of withdrawing cash with your EC card once you have reached a certain purchase value.
- Can I barbecue at the house?

Barbecuing at the house is permitted. Please place the barbecue on the lawn and not on the wooden terrace. You can purchase a barbecue at reception, book one in advance or bring your own.
- Are there any bathing facilities?

There is a beach within walking distance of the holiday homes. From some of the houses, you can reach the beach in a few minutes by car. There are various places to swim around the lake.
- Is there a way to charge electric cars in or near the holiday park?

Charging electric vehicles is expressly prohibited at the holiday home and apartment. Some houses have a wall box, which is then billed via an extra meter. Please feel free to contact us. You will find a public charging station in the car park.

- Is there a shuttle service to railway stations or airports?

- How is waste separation organised in the holiday park and where are the waste stations located?

The rubbish disposal areas with ash bins are located on Seerosenweg, Strandstraße, at the lighthouse and at the reed house. There is also a glass container on Seerosenweg. You will receive a map upon arrival.
- Are there any special offers for group trips or conferences?
-
You have the option of booking several houses next to each other, subject to availability.
In Scharmuntzelland, you can hire an original conference room with a screen. The room is suitable for 30-40 people (depending on the seating arrangement) and offers a view of the donkey/pony enclosure.
For larger groups, a breakfast service is also available at Scharmuntzelland.

Unfortunately, fishing is not permitted in the marina in Wendisch Rietz.
